Meet the brass collection, a few pairs of entirely brass earrings that are (slowly) making their way into my shop.

I have fallen in love with the soft gold glow of matt brass. It feels like such higher quality than all of the gold and silver plating that is so common in jewelry supply stores.

Brass stampings come in beautiful shapes and textures. All of the components used here are from a destash collection I bought on etsy. They were just begging to be made into earrings.

I handmade the above earwires from brass wire. I think it adds to the quality of the piece. On the topic of quality, be aware that brass stampings come in a range of qualities. The thicker, raw brass ones are my favorites. I also like that they develope a patina with time.

In the pic above I used different colored metals and added an accent bead to the handmade earwire.

For this pair, I wire-wrapped three tiny pearls to the bottom and added leverback earwires.

I am really happy with the way these pictures came out even though Giora took has a tendency of photographing me and forgetting about the earrings :)
It definitely beats my attempts at self-photography that typically result in fuzzy pictures of the wall behind my head. Thanks honey!
You look gorgeous... and the earrings to ;)
ReplyDeleteWell done, Giora!
